ICSI has also launched an insolvency agency recently to promote the profession. More banks are now tapping ICSI insolvency professionals from all three institutes. These professionals approach lenders with a comprehensive list of qualified insolvency professionals.
ICSI Institute of Insolvency Professionals (ICSI-IPA) has enrolled around 700 practicing chartered accountants as insolvency professionals. During the last year, it received thousands of applications and awaited the results from the exams.

You can search for membership by submitting your LinkedIn profile or your CV. There are several other ICSI member enrolment search options as well. In addition to searching by location, you can also search by industry and division to find a local branch of your preferred association.
First, you need to enter the eCSIN number you obtained at the time of your registration. eCSIN numbers can be used to search for ICSI members. If you have an existing one, you can revoke it by filling out the eCSIN search. The search engine will list all ICSI members who have this ID number. Once you have your eCSIN number, you can search for it in the list.

ICSI member certificate of practice
The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has extended the last date for payment of annual membership and certificate of practice fees. The Institute had approached the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) for extending the deadline for payment. The fee for membership and certificate of practice is Rs. 3800 for the fiscal year 2020-21.
There are two ways to renew a member’s Certificate of Practice. One is to pay the annual membership fee, and the other is to request cancellation of the certificate. In such a situation, the member must re-submit the certificate in writing.
The certificate of practice is the next level of certification after the Associate Member of Institute. Applicants must have the age of 21 years to apply. Fellow members can apply from Form-A. Fellow membership fees are Rs.1,125. Fellows may be eligible for concession of seventy-five percent of the annual membership fee for individuals above 70 years of age. After being awarded the certificate of practice, the holder of the certificate of practice is not allowed to engage in any profession or business partnership.
ICSI members can also download their documents from DigiLocker. The UDIN identifies the document and provides convenience in maintaining the Register of Attestation/ Certification Services rendered by practicing members. So, if you want to renew your certificate, ICSI has made the process simple.
A Supplement to the 1998 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the ICSA and ICSI aims to increase contact between the two organizations and make membership reciprocal. The amended MOU recognizes new qualifying programmes. ICSI members may study with their chosen ICSI division at a number of study centres across India.
